Marble Restoration to give fresh look to floors

The durability and the life of stone are often tested at commercial buildings, homes, pyramids and even churches. To avoid extra wear and tear of the floorings, we can use the sealing phenomena. Here is how Marble Pro’s Polishing & Restoration team works towards this process.

Natural stone sealing does not require efforts. It literally maintains the natural beauty of the stone and prevents it from any further damaging or staining. We, at Marble Pro’s Polishing & Restoration uses a sealer that is impregnated with a number of materials that can help the surface to have a perfect coat. It protects the natural stone from the foot dirt and moisture also.

We carry out a cleaning process before sealing any patch or area of the surface. The sole reason to clean the surface thoroughly is to prevent the sealing from being dirtied and greased, which in turn will head to the stone.

We offer top-notch quality of sealers to our customer as it is one of the most important processes of all. The durability of the sealer or the sealing procedure depends upon the finish of the stone, type of stone, exposure to the foot traffic, daily wear and tear and the area to where it is being exposed. For instance, take a floor piece. Work on it with the same process. Impregnate it with a sealer and place the stone in a closet. For years, there would be no effect on the stone. We try using tropical sealers over the rest as they offer superior quality, better protection and longevity.

The sealing process must not be used on each stone. It would be then just waste of money, efforts and time. You can test whether your floor needs sealing with a quick procedure. We sprinkle some water on the floor bed. If it absorbs, we definitely need a sealing process to be carried out. If not, then your floor is quite healthy without the coats. It takes a minimum of 5 to 10 years for any residential flooring to be worn out completely and granite can stay up to 15 years.

Clean the entire area before sealing. After the application of sealant, let it stay for 3 to 5 minutes. You can use a floor buffer to remove the excess sealant from the floor. If the sealer immediately dries, apply another coat and wait for 24 hours after which we use the water test to examine whether the work has been done properly.
